We're a team of experienced IT and telecoms professionals who believe technology should feel simple — not overwhelming.
Our story
High Tide Group wasn't started by someone who read about IT. It was started by someone who spent fifteen years deep inside it — at the sharp end of some of the most complex technology environments in the world.
Our founder began his career at an international chemical company and worked his way up to running a Citrix environment serving over 10,500 users a day. That kind of scale teaches you things no course can — how to keep critical systems running when failure isn't an option, how to manage infrastructure that spans borders and time zones, and how to talk to a board about technology without losing them in the first sentence.
From there came mergers and acquisitions — the kind of project most IT professionals never see. Integrating organisations, migrating thousands of users, converging networks and systems across multiple countries, all under hard deadlines and with no tolerance for downtime. The largest single project took two and a half years of continuous travel across Europe.
Then Covid arrived. A first child came along. And after years of living out of a suitcase, the appetite for the next two-and-a-half-year European project wasn't quite what it used to be.
So instead of looking for the next corporate role, we built an ISP from scratch — our own Autonomous System (AS211501), our own network infrastructure, peering at LINX, presence across nine UK data centres. Not because it was the easy thing to do. Because it was the right foundation for the kind of IT company we wanted to build.
We then acquired an established MSP, bringing with it a strong base of customers — including dental practices across the region — and a team who shared the same approach: do the work properly, be honest about what people actually need, and never hide behind jargon.
High Tide has grown almost entirely through word of mouth. No cold calling, no aggressive sales campaigns — just customers telling other customers. We work with small businesses, dental practices, manufacturers, schools and organisations operating within Critical National Infrastructure. In the UK and across Europe.
The range is wide, but the approach is the same everywhere: understand the environment properly, recommend what actually fits, and be the kind of IT partner you'd recommend to someone you actually like.
High Tide is a family-run business. That matters to us — not as a marketing line, but because it shapes how we work. We care about the businesses we look after the same way we care about our own. When something goes wrong for a customer, it feels personal. When something goes right, that does too.
We believe technology should feel supportive, not overwhelming. Everything we do is built around three things:
Certified for your peace of mind
Our certifications reflect the standards we hold our own work to — not just badges on a wall.
Our values
Your team needs systems that work. We take that responsibility seriously and show up when it matters.
IT should be understandable for everyone in your organisation — not just the technical people.
Protecting your data and your people is built into everything we provide — from day one.
We work alongside you, supporting your growth and long-term plans. Not just "the IT company."
